Visiting by boat

Free visitor moorings are available for up to three days to visit Erith Yacht club by boat.

Erith Yacht Club will be found on the left bank of the River Thames when going up river from Gravesend and Dartford. It makes an ideal break when travelling to or from London.

The brick and glass-fronted clubhouse dominates that part of the landscape.

We have a calendar of planned club events when club members will be at the club and out on the river. Our bar is normally open Wednesday and Sunday afternoons with everyone welcome.

The common VHF Channel used at the club is Channel 37A and you can contact the clubhouse during these times if it is occupied.

In front of the club is a half-tide pontoon, which is accessible about 2 hours each side of high water (tidal range and boat draught depending) and is useful for a quick visit.

Visitor moorings are also available for longer visits and can be used for up to three days are free – longer stays do attract a small charge.

Our clubhouse is not always open and the boatyard and club are secured when members are not on the property. For this reason we ask that if you do plan to visit you contact our Hon. Secretary via email to organise use of our visitor moorings beforehand.
