RYA ICC
If you’re looking to operate a pleasure craft or hire a boat outside the UK and need to evidence your competence, then the UK International Certificate for Operators of Pleasure Craft (the ICC) issued by the RYA, is essential. Now required under Greek Law if you want to charter a boat.
In Greece, many flotillas will no longer accept the Day Skipper (though Coastal Skipper and Yacht Master qualifications are fine). There’s an easy solution for UK nationals or those resident in the UK: The RYA will issue Day Skipper holders with an ICC. This service is free for RYA members, otherwise about £50.
A respected Greek Flotilla Company used by EYC Members for 25 years is Sailing Holidays.

EYC is a registered ICC testing centre. The cost for non members is £300. The test takes a 1/2 day and you will need to provide a sailing vessel. The test can be performed away from EYC, but this may be subject to additional travelling expenses.
