How to join Erith Yacht Club

We understand that you might want to know a little more about Erith Yacht Club and try out the facilities before you make the decision to join. That’s why we’ve put together a prospective membership introduce you to the club and its members before you have to commit to paying any membership fees. Our application process is designed to give you the opportunity to get to know the club and is managed my members on a volunteer basis. If you already know you want to join you can proceed directly to apply for an active club membership

Applying for club membership

To become a member of Erith Yacht club simply:

  1. Download a copy of the Membership Application to complete and get two members, a proposer and seconder to sign – if you don’t know anyone come down to the club and meet some of our members – they’ll be pleased to help out.

    Scan / send with a profile photo to the Hon. Secretary (secretary@erithyachtclub.org.uk) or leave it behind the bar, so that it can be it is displayed on the General Committee Board for 28 days to the nearest General Committee meeting. Meeting dates are listed in our Club Calendar
  2. Download a copy of the Welcome and Signature Booklet. Visit the club and gather 3 signatures from other club members during Club activities. Check the club calendar for events at the club for details

    Take a photo or scan it and send to the Hon. Sec: (secretary@erithyachtclub.org.uk) before the next General Committee meeting.

Once completed and returned your application will posted on the club membership board for 28 days and approval is usually confirmed at the next General Committee meeting. You can complete this process as quickly as you wish, and can use our facilities while becoming a member. Our member support team will help you through the process.

Our Hon. Secretary will then contact you to organise payment of your pro-rata membership and any mooring or boat storage fees for the remainder of the year.

Once approved and fees paid we will organise for access cards and keys to be issused to you so that you can visit the club at any time. We also provide more useful information on our website on accessing buildings, making use of facilities, getting involved and having your voice heard on decisions effecting the club.
