If you are planning to visit Erith Yacht Club on a passage to or from locations further up the river toward London we welcome you to use our visitor moorings on our outer trot of bouys.
You must contact the Club Secretary prior to visiting to gain approval to use the moorings from our Moorings Master/General Committee (secretary@erithyachtclub.org.uk).
Our moorings are swing moorings laid in trots (lines) so you will need to think about the tides and have a long line and boathook ready.
Our moorings aren’t suitable for every boat and there are restrictions to the boats we can take on our moorings. We can’t accommodate:
- Catamarans and other multi-hull vessels
- Boats over 36ft or 9 tons
Remember to pick up one of the outer trot of buoys, as these are our deep-water moorings. Please only pick up a mooring that does not have any ropes on it, as this indicates it is not being used by Club members. Ensure your mooring line is relatively short, so the buoy is close to the bow of the yacht.
If, for some reason, you find you need to leave your boat at EYC you will need approval and any fee paid in advance. The Club retains the right to ask you remove your boat given reasonable notice.
