Moorings

Erith offers a great place to store and moor your yacht or dinghy as a member. Our club’s location and facilities provide easy access to your boat and great sailing opportunities at very reasonable prices.

With the exception of short term use of visitors and visits to the club by dinghies on road trailers the use of club storage and moorings is available only to members.

Visitor moorings

If you are planning to visit Erith Yacht Club or on passage to or from locations further up the river toward London we welcome you to use our visitor moorings on our outer trot of bouys. Find out how to contact us before visiting and how to pay any fees due.

Mooring allocations

Moorings are allocated by the Fill Master each year after soliciting requests for a mooring from members.

All cruiser owners are asked to ensure their boats are on the correctly allocated mooring. If a cruiser is on an incorrect mooring it will be moved to the correct location after informing the owner. However, the responsibility to ensure it is correctly secured to the mooring will remain with the owner.

Members are not permitted to trade moorings between themselves. All reallocation requests must go through the Moorings & Fill Master, even if the owner of the other cruiser approves the reallocation.

Mooring fees

With the exception of Youth Club members who can keep a dinghy at the club for free, mooring fees are payable for all members and visitors keeping yachts and dinghies at the club or using our visitor moorings.
