Erith Yacht Club’s large boatyard means that there is ample space for members to store and work on their Yachts and Dinghies on dry land.
Erith Yacht Club members can use the ample space available in the club boatyard to store their yacht, cruiser or dinghy or tender on the hard. We also have dedicated storage spaces in our club buildings for associated equipment and supplies required to get you out onto the water.
Our boat yard also has significant space for car parking when visiting the club as well as a dedicated overflow car park for use during larger events.
This includes:
- A dedicated grass dinghy parking area for members dinghies close to the slipway for easy launching
- Gravelled area for the storage of club dinghies
- Hard storage areas for Yachts and cruisers on cradles or trailers
- Tender storage under the clubhouse with fixing points
- Ample car parking for members and vistors
The club also has a range of indoor secure storage of other sailing related equipment with storage in our maintenance sheds and space in a number of locked up shipping containers kept on site.
Yacht and cradle parking
The Fill Master laysout and allocates spaces taking into account the needs of members and their boats.
The clubs tractors, winches and heavy machinery facilitate movement of vessels around the yard and their launching and recovery.
Dinghy park
Two areas have been designated as dinghy parking for smaller craft. The closet to the slipway for dinghies used regularly and a section near the visitor car park for boats in longer term storage and for road trailors.
Tender storage
A dedicated storage area under our clubhouse allows you to keep tenders close to the slipway for quick lauching and recovery while keeping them out of sunlight and secured. Layout of the tender storage area is organised and members are required to keep their tenders in designated areas. Parts of our yard, including under the clubhouse are subject to spring tides so tenders should be secured to prevent their wandering with the tide
Security
Security of the yard is a priority for members with a range of measures taken to deter and prevent unauthorised access to boats kept at the club.
