Moorings
Erith offers a great place to store and moor your yacht or dinghy. Our club’s location and facilities provide easy access to your boat and great sailing opportunities at very reasonable prices.
With the exception of short term use of visitor moorings and visits to the club by dinghies on road trailers the use of club storage and moorings is available only to members.
Slipway & Pontoon
A half-tide pontoon is located directly outside the clubhouse which is accessible about 2 hours each side of high water (tidal range and boat draught depending).
The end of our main slipway is marked with a red post and we are able to launch and recover dinghies directly from the slipway across the entire tidal range.
Our slipways also support the launch and recovery of members yachts from cradles on rising or falling tides allowing members to easily bring their craft out of the water for maintance or winter storage. Club tractors and a static winch are available to manouver boats on cradles onto and off the slipway and into their desired storage location around the club.
Maintenance sheds and workshop
Our main maintenance shed provides ample space for work indoor on dinghies and boat parts. It stores both club and members tools and equipment and with a kitchen and wood burning stove is another focal point of both member social and maintenance activities.
Boat Storage
Erith Yacht club has ample space for dinghy and yacht storage.
Dinghies
A dedicated dinghy storage area is located adjacent to the main slipway for easy launching and recovery. Club boats including our Bosuns and Laser Keel boats are stored behind the main clubhouse.
Yachts & Cruisers
Full and youth members can keep boats at the club either on the hard or one of our club moorings.
Tenders and inflatables
Club members can store yacht tenders on the hard under the clubhouse out of direct sunlight and within easy reach of the slipway and pontoon for easy launch and recovery. Members must identify their tenders and a small fee is payable for additional tender storage.
Secure storage
The club has a variety of secured indoor storage locations available to members for sails, outboards and other boat equipment.
Wi-fi
Wifi is available throughout the clubhouse and across the boatyard. Members can login and access the wifi password for their use.
