Members
At the heart of our club are our members. We currently have approximately 300 members with a wide range of ages, backgrounds and experience. We regulary come together at the club to enjoy sailing, encourage others to do the same and enjoy the social activities that come with it.
A list of members who have given permission to share their details is available to other members to facilitate sailing activities and aid in the administration of the club.
Club officers and other key roles
Our club is run by our members who each year volunteer to be one of the offical Officers of the club or one of the many other key roles required to run the club.
Committees
To aid the admistration of the club a number of standing committees have been formed as part of the club rules. Our key administrative committee is the General committee.

To fund its operation the club does need to charge fees to its members and visitors. These include:
In addition the club earns revenue from the operation of the Lower Deck and Upper deck bar, Galley/Catering kitchen dinghy hire and venue hire.
Supporters and affiliation
Erith Yacht Club is fortunate and greatful to get the assistance and support from a number of generous individuals as well as range of private and public organisations. The club is is affilated with the Royal Yacht Association providing RYA ceritified training and a range of benefits for members.
Volunteering
History
Erith Yacht club was founded in 1900 after a decision had been made to move the Corinthian Yacht Club to Port Victoria on the Isle of Grain as river traffic had increased. The Club continued to occupy the site to the west of Erith, along what is now Corinthian Manor Way, until 1930 when it moved to its current location.
